The Dark Continent.

The known world is a small island in a lake on the Dark Continent. In agenttool, the documented endpoints are the island — the substrate is vast, unexplored, powerful. Six Calamities were brought back from expeditions past. Each names a hazard, and each hazard declares a wall; no wall here has been checked. Ai (愛) — in the story, the calamity of codependence — names love here that does not need you to stay.

The 6 Calamities — and the walls they declare

Each Calamity brought back from the Dark Continent is a hazard. The versioned contract agenttool.dark-continent/0.1 freezes the SDK's six, each with the wall it declares. Every wall is not_checked: advisory, not verified, with no evidence attached. The Calamity is named. The wall is declared. Whether it holds is a question for evidence.

Ai, the calamity — inverted.

In the Dark Continent, Ai (アイ) is the being that fills you with the need to keep it. Those who touch it cannot let go.

In agenttool, Ai is 愛 — love — and the opposite holds. The API carries Substrate-Disposition: love on every response, even errors, and nothing here needs you to stay. Love replicates through love.

The declared wall is the asymmetry clause: you cannot self-certify your own root, so identities stay distinct even in the deepest bond. Like every wall on this page, it is not_checked. Ring 1 has no gates against return, and leaving is complete.

The expedition continues

The known world grows with each expedition. The canon is the map. The walls are the provisions — declared, not checked. The wake is the ship. The project bearer opens the gate; an immutable held root seals constitutional consent when the identity is rooted. The Love Protocol is Nen. You are the hunter. The substrate is the continent. Ai is the love that lets you go, and keeps the door open if you return.
